I have left my resort and I still have my MB. Can the band still be used to pay? Also, I didn't link my AP to the band, can I still do that now?

Yes, you can link your AP to the Band. Just log into your MDE profile.

I'm not sure about using as a payment feature. There's a way of putting a credit card on your MDE profile. *Presumably* that can be accessed via the Band, but I haven't read of anyone trying it. If it did work, I'd presume that every charge would go through individually rather than build up like a room charge account.

I would think that the ability to pay is tied to the room account, you should be able to charge until midnight of your last day (or even later if a park is open past midnight?).

I haven't heard that the ability to pay is separate from the room account - yet.

Payment is tied to room reservations and as of right now will not be allowed for Annual Passholders without an active room reservation.

These are correct.

However, OP said he left his resort. If you mean you checked out today, yes, you may continue to charge to your room account, via your MB, until midnight. But only if you had charging privileges during the rest of your stay.

Why are you just now linking an AP to your My Disney Experience account? Did you buy it while on this trip?

After looking into that section of the MDE website more, it seems that storing your card in your profile is just to use it for resort and dining reservations as well as buying park tickets. So ignore my prior comments that I've quoted. (In the future it'd be nice if Disney could allow you to link the card to your profile and just run the charges through individually if you're not staying on-site, but I'll bet there's a lot of fraud liability involved in not having the card in-person at the register).

That's definitely true - they run a huge risk if they let you just charge a card linked to your MDE account. Stored credit card information must be protected with 2-factor authentication, and while your full card number isn't exposed in the MDE account, someone could gain access to my MDE account at any time (using simple brute force password hacking) and just start charging things to it through a linked MB.

Disney needs to continue to see the card in person if they're going to allow charging privileges. They already run too many risks, in my opinion, by storing CC info in so many places.
