Bad character experience

Never at WDW but Mickey on my recent trip to Paris was pretty rude. He was fine with the people with kids but when it was our turn, two adults, he just stood there.. arms down by his side, no acknowledgment of us, the photographer snapped two pics, both in the same pose and to top it off the photographer cut the tops of our heads off. So that was a waste of time lol We were going to complain but in the end just let it slide and just didn’t bother with characters the rest of the trip. Europe sees Disneyland as a place for kids and only kids, it’s a shame the cast members feel this way too.

This wasn't really bad, just strange. Many years ago, in Disneyland, all 7 dwarfs were in Tomorrowland Terrace, bopping around and dancing with people, etc. I was standing in the entryway watching it all. Dopey was sorta next to me, bopping in place. Doc came over, bopping all the way, and leaned in to Dopey, and this voice came out of his throat - "Don't block the entryway", and then he bopped away. Now, you know that there's a person in there somewhere, but it's easy to forget that and just go with it. It's funny when something happens to take you out of the magic!

Once, sadly. When I was a kid and it was our check-out day, so I was already in a horrible sad/cry-fest kind of mood. We were eating at O'hana and the characters were walking around. I wanted to get Goofy's autograph before we left, but we were already finished eating and about to leave. My dad told me to go up to Goofy to get the autograph. So, I walked up to Goofy, didn't say anything but tried to hand him my book and pen. He looked at me and instead of taking my book and pen, he pointed and then proceeded to give me this motion of "walking around the room" gesture. And then he walked away.

Yep, that was a lovely day. :arghh::cry:

i can neither confirm, deny, nor discuss said event - nor would i be disposed to acknowledge any such an event if it had, in fact, occurred.

Well there was this time that my little princess had been waiting all 4 years of her life to meet Cinderella. She (my princess) was crying her precious little heart out, but, do you think that one CM would even bother to go in the castle and drag Cindy out to see her. All they kept saying is she can't come out cause she's missing a shoe. It was the worst experience of her (little princess) short, but full, life. We have since spent, literally, thousands and thousands of dollars on therapists trying to erase the trauma from her little head. Every time she seems to have forgotten it, I will ask her if she still had bad feelings about it, and it starts all over again. I swear I don't see how she will ever recover. I'm thinking massive lawsuit. This kind of stuff happens to us all the time so I'm sure that everyone else has the same experience. When will they learn to do what the paying public requests. Walt surely would have. I sure wish they would thaw him out and get things straightened out around there.:mad::mad:

Never had a bad character experience but have had more rudeness from the character friend. I know their job must be rough controlling the lines of anxious guests but if you cant tolerate the pressure of the job maybe you should look for an alternate position.

I really hope this is an elaborate joke.
If you didn’t have a reservation for CRT they weren’t going to drag Cindy out for your child...people paid for that and you didn’t. A mere 10 or 15 feet away though is Princess Fairytale Hall where Cindy meets all day...continuously park open to close...did you take your child in there???

My first thought was... this must be a newbie, but, to my surprise you have been a member since 2003. It was a parody of a very famous thread that has been dying and resurrecting every few days here on WDWmagic. I'm sorry that you didn't know that, but, I really don't know how to tell a more outrageously unbelievable story then the one that I spun there based on an old post by one Katiebug and her un-magical day at WDW.

I had a "bad" experience but it was my fault. I had just gotten my picture with the 7 Dwarfs at MNSSHP. I thought I would be cool and pat Grumpy on the head. Forgot it was plastic. Grumpy shook violently and angrily, both in character and probably for real! LOL. Oops!

Alice was rude to my daughter at Epcot. My daughter was around 8 at the time and all the character interactions up to that point were awesome. What happened was we saw Alice and I pointed her out to my daughter and told her to go up to her so I could get a picture. At the exact same time 2 siblings were walking up but I didn’t see them. Alice told the siblings they were first and shooed my daughter away. Fine, no big deal. She fawned over the 2 kids and talked to them and was so sweet. My daughter watched all this. She glared at my daughter and motioned her to come up next, wouldn’t look at her or talk to her. She glared at me too. It was really horrible behavior but I never reported her. It was the only bad character interaction we ever had. I deleted the picture.
