Anyone have any pictures from Backstage? If you have any, could you please post them. Is there a website that has these pictures?

Please let me know!

Thanks!

I beleive www.disneypix.com has a few of the tunnels.

Maybe it's because I've seen them all and I'm used to it... but with the exception of the tunnels... Backstage really isn't all that great.

Well, I taped the entrance of the tunnels, by the bus drop, during the International Program, but I do have this, if it's any help...

Yeah, when we went backstage for my band trip it definately wasn't all that exciting. We hiked from the PotC to behind Splash Mountain backstage, and it wasn't that exciting.

Well, i guess it kind of was, like how Splash Mountain is actually like not in the mountian at all, most of it is in a huge showbuilding, and a little ways away we could see the parade warehouse.

hi! i was looking at those pics, and it reminded me of a film i was waching once, and this person was going to sabotage a ride at this park, and i remeber the actor running thrrough all these corridors , and they looked exactly the same as the utilidors. im probably just dreaming though:hammer: obviously all the signs were covered so you would know it wasnt wdw. Has there ever been any filming down in the utilidors, or im just imagining it :hammer: :snore: :snore: :snore: lol.

talking about utilidors, does DisneyLand California have them? also, were they ever considered for epcot, or mgm (or even AK?). I guess not because they dont really have entirely different lands, so it wouldnt look that out of place if a character from say, errrr.......... oh you know what i mean :hammer:

There is a tunnel at Epcot going between the communicores. :)
The rest of Epcot has good "rear" access, allowing all delivery trucks and cast movements to be done without entering guest areas. MKs layout required tunnels to conceal cast movements and support movements from interfering with the "fantasy" of the park.

As MGM is working facility, it doesnt suffer from CM movements interfering with the show quality for guests, so was not needed.

DLP has a tunnel complex underneath Disney Village.

There are no tunnels at DAK, there is quite the back stage area there though, imo it is the best because you get to see all of the animal buildings and there were bikes for us to ride from one place to the other and Pride Rock was the best cafeteria I have ever been too!

there's a distinct difference about everything onstage and backstage.. even the air! The second i set foot backstage, everything stinks! then i got back onstage, and everything smells nice again

Disneyland doesn't have Utilidoors. Walt wanted our Magic Kingdom to have theme BECAUSE Disneyland didn't. There was a problem with Cast Members in say...Frontierland ending up in Tomorrowland as they headed for a break--which looked weird (cowboy in Tomorrowland?!). I thought off-stage was kinda bland...but I was impressed with how they send garbage around through the Utilidoors at 60 mph through the overhead pipes!

I was "Backstage" @ MGM once w/ a friend who used to work there. We went past some buidlings on the way to ToT, and his friend let us go up the elevator near the exit and gave us a spot right in front of the line =). I'd do the Backstage tour @ MK but I don't want to spend the $.

Here's one that I snapped in the boat storage area of "Living with the Land". It's one of the Alligators in the wetland scene.
