Seems all the Disney Fans who try this tour are all raving about it, but at $250 ea my wife and I are really trying to justify doing it...........Seems you get a little bit of everything but we may just settle for keys to the kingdom. They say you get a gift at the end of it. is it just a pin?

I'm glad you posted this topic because my wife and I were thinking about doing it as well. The money really concerned me as well. Not that it wouldn't be worth it Im sure. Could anyone tell us about their experience. It's 7 hours correct? That includes lunch and dinner or just one meal? I know I could look it all up but I want to hear from you not from workers trying to sell me on it.

Also thinking about doing The Keys to the Kingdom Tour. That's cheaper and seems like it is more about the history which I love.

We did the tour 5 years ago and we really enjoyed it, but I remember paying much less the $250 for it. It only includes lunch which is at Whispering Canyon. One good thing about this tour is that it does not require park admission. Here is what the current version of the tour shows you...

  • Epcot
Explore the inner workings of The American Adventure, the patriotic Audio-Animatronics extravaganza.
  • Magic Kingdom Park
Find hidden details on Main Street, U.S.A. Then, navigate the legendary underground “Utilidor” tunnels and see how they enable the unseen transport of Cast Members, deliveries and more.
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how Disney Imagineers deliver hair-raising thrills on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™. Later, visit Creative Costuming to see how Disney shows come to life.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park
Come face-to-face with a Wild Africa Trek Guide to hear his or her history, and learn more about what it takes to become a Guide.
  • Central Shops
Meet the skilled craftsmen who make dreams come true, from the smallest landscaping details to the biggest set pieces.
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Enjoy a lip-smacking, family-style barbeque lunch atWhispering Canyon Café—included with your tour.
  • Walt Disney World Nursery & Tree Farm
Dig up the details on how our horticulture experts create the unparalleled botanical beauty of Walt Disney World Resort.

I did it (lots less than $250) and enjoyed it. You have to want to know some of the work that goes into putting on the show in the parks and they do that. Don't think you are going to see anything they don't want you to see. If you are a fan and can stand the charge it is worth it.

Keys to the kingdom is a great tour as well. Same deal you see nothing they don't want you to see but it is filled with trivia that will flesh out any MK experience. I had a great time but remember that you do have to add park admission to the cost of the KttKT ticket.

The tours are excellent and we thought they were worth the money. But it comes down to what you are willing to save for and your desire for the experience. Depending on what you are expecting... you will get a lot of info but if youve been reading up on the parks and spend a lot of time on the Disney sites there isnt much you wont already know. The back stage views are OK but you come away wishing you could see much more than they let you in on. If you have the money to spend and dont mind laying out the cash, go. If you are really cash strapped, and are questioning the cost, wait until you can afford more to do it.

Saying "lots less than 250" is misleading. It was $199 in the early 2000's, plus tax. I think it was $220, or so, plus tax, when we took it a couple years ago.

Hello all, Dear Honeyman and I do a different tour every single WDW trip, and have never been disappointed! Our actual fav though was Epcot's segway tou . We did it early am (before the World was open) and with no other guests around it was, well, magical! I think ANY Disney tour is worth the money! Although expensive! NonnaT
