Hi everyone, with news of a possible DHS expansion it looks like back lot tour is getting the axe. My question is what is going to happen to the plane that was used by Walt Disney? I assume they would not just scrap it do they are likely to move it but, where? Any other possible ideas?

I do hope they consider putting it in an area where people can get closer to it and take photo's with it...I would say put it by One Man's Dream. But, the space of the area is a bit difficult for it to be put there..Also the interior is pretty much Gutted out from what I read in the article about it in Yesterland.

I love Walt Disney "artifacts". I hope they move it to somewhere people can see it, and not to the junkyard. I think it's too big of an asset for management to just get rid of it, though. They have done stupid things, though...

If I remember correctly walt never actually used that plane correct? While they did use it to survey the land Walt wasn't present for that, At least I believe I read that somewhere on the debunking rumors at yesterland. Again I could be wrong don't crucify me if I am lol

Doesn't the Backlot Tour spiel say that Walt used it to travel between Disneyland and WDW? I could be wrong, too, though.

Walt did use the plane, though not to survey the land. The plane was used as a normal airplane was, a quick way of transporting walt and his associates between locations.
