Back To The Future Ride Film Cells on eBay

Omg I so want....

What I'd do with it once I had it though... Hmmmm

Maybe mount it on a small lightbox?

These things are ridiculously overpriced, particularly given (1) the amount of IMAX film stock that was made available and used throughout the life of the ride, and (2) the odd manner in which these offered frames were cut from the roll ...not to mention that the selected images themselves are not particularly desirable (IMO).

Yeah I agree about the shots not really being desirable!

400 bucks... Yikes!

Not only that, but these things don't seem like they would be that exclusive. It's not like these are from the in-camera original filming process (in which case I could understand the price). Rather, these are just the positives used in the attraction theaters. Due to the age of the attraction, I'm guessing that it went through a number of prints over the years. And a single 5 minute IMAX film - even at the slowest 24 fps rate - would be comprised of approximately 7,000 frames.

So, for just 3 frames, I might spend a couple of bucks just for the sake of novelty, but hundreds? Come on :brick:
