We just got back from our honeymoon at WDW 2 weeks ago, it was great. I think the Yacht Club is my new favorite resort.

While we were there we thought it would be fun to take my wife's little brother to Disney next year. He is 12 years old and a big fan of Star Wars and disney movies, but he hasn't been. We are looking at mid October 2014, what does everyone think about that time of year? Also we are thinking of doing a Value or Moderate, I'm leaning towards moderate. I favor Coronado, we are thinking of trying Port Orleans or CBR. I'm excited to start planning another trip!

Congrats on the marriage. Doing Disney with a 12 yo should be fun. Especially if he likes the same kinds of things you do. At 12 yo he's at a good age to catch the Disney fever. It's never too early to start planning for the next trip. I start planning my next trip as soon as I get my check out envelope. :in pain: We're a big fan of POFQ, check them out and see what you think.

I love Coronado but for a 12 year old boy, Id recommend CBR or value resort.

Thanks!! Yeah we think it will be fun! I plan on stopping in for a day in December, but doing the big planning for this trip in October 2014 and starting to plan for a possible trip to Disneyland in 2015. I noticed a lot of people on the board are fans of POFQ, I stopped and took a look around once and liked it.

Just got back about 2 hours ago and I am already planning my next trip. We're looking at a long weekend in December to see the decorations.

I love going in December, I usually try to stop in for a day during December when I visit family in FL. Its such an awesome time to go and the decorations are great!

Congrats on the wedding!

12 year old...stay at one of the values (POP, , ASMo) or moderates other than CSR. I know you're thinking October, but have you considered May/June for Star Wars Weekends, since he's a fan.

Mid-October is a great time to go. It probably won't be too hot. The humidity tends to break around that time. It might get cold, but is generally not too bad if you have a jacket. Crowds aren't heinous.

Mods are better than Values, but not a heaping ton better. It just depends on how much you can afford. If you can afford things like better hotel rooms, do it. :)
