Got up at 3.15 and had a shower. Boys followed shortly after and had some breakfast. Mum and Dad arrived and we left at 4.30am.
Got to inverness airport at 5.15 and had a very long, cold! walk to the terminal building from the long stay carpark.
Boys were busy jumping around at check in but settled in departure lounge. Mum and I had a latte and then before long we boarded the plane for the boy's 1st ever flight. They were so good and sat reasonably well.
Flight had only slight turbulence midway round the Lake District then landed at Gatwick 30 minutes early at 8.20am.
After security we made our way to the South Terminal Aspire lounge where we had lovely bacon rolls and coffees. Later Dad and I had a whisky and Mum had a red wine.
We boarded the plane and it left on time. Very good flight, boy's really enjoyed it. I had a red wine as my welcome drink and John had a beer.
I watched the alan partridge film first, it was funny.
Got through customs quite quickly then collected our suitcases and made our way to Disney's Magical Express. Our driver was called Bryan King just like Lion King!
Watched a cute disney film on the bus and then soon arrived at Port Orleans Riverside.
Checked in and got our magic bands. You wear them on your wrist and they act as door key, park tickets, charge to your room, dining plan id and fast passes. Great idea and much easier than going into bag etc for key to the world card (we got these too just in case but we didn't use them).
Went to sleep at 9pm which was really 2am for us, been up for 23 hours
