Saturday 12th October Animal Kingdom
Late start today as we didn't wake up till 9am. On way to breakfast, I asked John if he liked my new shorts, he said he did and asked if I liked his shorts. I then said they looked like boxer shorts and he said that's because they are!! It was so funny, he then ran back to put proper shorts on.
We had our usual breakfasts except the boys had just scrambled eggs and grapes.
Mum and Dad had a rest day and also did some shopping at the Marketplace.
We arrived at the Animal Kingdom at 12 and walked up to the safari to get our fast passes. They go so quickly nowadays so tonight I'm going to set up fast pass + with my disney experience app so we can prebook our fast passes before we leave each morning.
First we went on Pangani Forest Exploration and saw a big hippo In a pool with fish and some huge bats etc
Next we saw a large female gorilla beside the glass window then saw a male silverback. No babies seen today.
We took a train to the conversation station and got our photo taken with Rafiki.
Went out to pat the goats next, Ross liked it, Owen not so keen, said it was boring!
I enjoyed the Maharajah Jungle trek, again Ross & Owen couldn't care less! Lovely tiger resting in the sun.
The only animal bit Ross did like was a gorilla doing a poo!
Had some lunch in the blazing heat ( then got a table undercover)
We then went on the safari and saw a lovely baby giraffe and lots of elephants. The boys liked this too.
Boys loved Kali River Rapids, I didn't get too wet.
Last up was a great musical show - Finding Nemo
A great time again, next day Hollywood Studios x
