Bachelor Party Planning Tips?

Hello all!!

One of my dearest friends is getting married in September 2022. For his Bachelor party, he mentioned wanting to a week in LA, including a three day stay at Disneyland. I'm far more familiar with planning trips to Disney World, so I figured I'd reach out and see if you guys had any great money-saving tips, or ideas of any experiences that might make our stay at Disneyland super special. Literally any form of advice would be so greatly appreciated!!!

Here is some information that might help:

The trip would be planned for August 2022.

There's going to be a total of 8 of us. I already looked on Disney's website, and it seems that you need to book at least 10 different rooms to qualify for a group discount.

Ideally, we'd like to stay for a total of 3 nights. We would fly into LA the first day, check into the hotel, and just spend the day at the pool/downtown disney. The following two days would be a park each, and we'd transfer to our hotel in WeHo on the 4th morning of the trip. We pulled the numbers for basic rooms with 4 people per room for the three on-property resorts, meaning we'd have to get two rooms for our stay. There doesn't seem to be too much information in regards to suites. Are there any Good Neighbor Hotels you all would recommend, or other solid alternatives?

Thank you all so much for help, and once again ANY tip that might make the experience a little more magical is absolutely welcomed, even if it doesn't direct anything I laid out. You all are the best!

A very early welcome to Los Angeles.

If you’re staying three days, I’d definitely recommend staying off property. Prices for on property are insane. Save your money and stay at a local Hilton or Best Western (I’ve stayed at the Best Western multiple times and have never had issues) across the street. My family and I stayed at a hotel a few years ago that was about 30 minutes walking distance from the parks. It was a two-story suite with a kitchen and it fit all six of us comfortably. I can’t think of the name right now but I’ll check back once I figure it out. Some offsite properties are even closer to the parks than the DL Hotel and Paradise Pier.

Will you guys be renting a car? If so, you won’t have to worry about transportation to the parks from LAX. Also, I’d reconsider doing one park each day. I’d recommend getting park hoppers for both, especially since they’re very close to each other. However, I’d understand if you don’t want to do that. Regarding LA, maybe consider renting an Airbnb? That is if you haven’t booked a hotel yet. May save you some money.

If you don’t have an LA itinerary yet, let us know and we’ll give you recommendations.

Well....if you want to have a detailed, optimized plan for each day, you could pay $8 for a subscription to TouringPlans.
They do scientific predictions of what the crowds are going to be each day of the year. That's why I used to buy it. However, I bet all their data is completely messed up by covid. With that many people, I would think you'd just end up splitting up and winging it.

There is a thread with some reviews here: https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads...nd-good-neighbor-hotels-reviews.962697/page-6

There are also a couple of new hotels that have opened or are about to open that might be worth checking out.

I hope you have a great trip!

I don't know if this is a viable option for you, but have you considered a vacation rental? I believe you can rent out entire houses and I think some are available in the neighborhood just west of the parks. Just a thought.
