after reading port orleans was closing after nov 3-french quarter-i freaked so i called disney and pretended to want to make a reservation-i got a hold of a super nice res. agent and told her i wanted to reserve room for nov 15 for 10 days and she said it was booked solid to after x-mas-i told her i saw in a websight they r closing french quarter -she told me not at all-she even spoke to a manager there and he confirmed they are not closing any resorts at this time not even french quarter-which is at full occupancy and actually doing real well occupancy wise-

im glad i didnt write eisner on this one being it was only a rumor started i guess by travel agents

she did say beware of non-official disney websights that a lot of rumors get started in -he he he:hammer:

I've been hearing a lot of conflicting reports on the FQ. Some people say it's open, some people say it's closing. I don't know what's going on.

I'm afraid that I am quite skeptical of the CRO as they have denied just about everything else that has proven to be true.

For every report that says the hotels are booked and the parks are packed, there are ten that say the opposite.

Perhaps the CM was refering to the holidays or the weekends without being specific with you.

If things were that great, they would not cut hours and entertainment with a full house. I think posting the November hours may give us some hint how things are really going.

P.S.- I should also mention that about one week ago I went to the Disney website to check out some hotel rates. The site showed every resort except one in each catergory as booked. I called CRO and asked if it was that packed. She said no, there was plenty of room at all the resorts. This was one week ago. I doubt the POFQ magically booked overnight.

Caribean Beach was packed (supposedly)

My group recently stayed at Caribean Beach. It was supposedly booked to capacity. In fact, despite having booked 6 months in advance, we had to wait 8 hours before we were able to get our room!

Whether or not this was Disney screwing with our minds or not, most buses were loaded with guests...

we just got back from a stay at CB as well. We had a 1/2 hour or so check-in line. While on the buses we noticed Trinidad South was totally deserted, no people, no cars except for landscapers and plumbers. My guess is they are full only in a few buildings and not using the rest.
