I know this attraction doesn't get the hype of any of the other attractions and in a way they promote it in film is kind of like something like Hitchhiker's Guide to the galaxy promotes the earth in film.. But something I do not recall is that this film had in-theater effects..

According to the WDW website...
Experience a call to action to protect the Earth. In a partnership with the Disney Conservation Fund, this all-new film uses in-theater effects (including wind, scents and water) to tell the story of life on our planet and why it’s vitally important to care for it.

Has anyone gone to it lately to see if this actually happens during the show or do have sit in certain areas to experience "Said effects"?

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
This is exactly what Epcot needed... A new "small" attraction... Those little ones like Awesome Planet, Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy, Enchanted Tales with Belle...

Those types of attractions should not be overlooked by Disney for future developments Not just boring old carnival rides as "small attractions," but more interesting experiences that don't replace anything significant, or anything at all for that matter.

In relation to the topic of this post, yes, I have seen the effects working in this show during my past few trips. I don't specifically remember water being used, but the other two stand out.
