Average Pay for Entertainment Technician

Hello, I normally don't ask this question. But my parents are moving from South Florida to Orlando. I currently work in the IT Field and Display Fireworks with a Tampa Fireworks Company. I have always wanted to work for walt disney world. I have considered relocating to Orlando also. Is the pay for Entertainment Tech's ok or really low? I would love to get my foot in the Door with Disney doing pyro then maybe move to IT. I have a bachelors degree in Managing Information Systems.

Entry level Techs (level 4) start at 10.15 per hour; it's a union position so non-negotiable. Once you're in, you can apply for promotions to Tech 3, 2, 1; additionally, riggers are paid more.

All new Techs are hired with the expectation they'll work pyro.
