Avengers New York (Echo Lake and Stunt Spec. location at Hollywood Studios)

My friend gave me the idea of putting Avengers at Echo Lake, mainly because of the Star Tours system to Iron Man, but also because the New York city-scape could fit in and blend with Hollywood BLVD. So I came up with a concept for the land, utilizing both her and mine ideas. This isn’t meant to go with my Hollywood Studios ideal build-out I posted about a week ago, this is an independent project that I didn’t have to put all my brain power into. I also understand how Disney can’t build any MCU attractions past the Mississippi river, but this concept (if it was ever used) would be for the future, when Disney can build MCU attractions in WDW. I have never worked as an Imagineer, nor in the theme park industry. I am someone who enjoys going to the parks, and coming up with ride ideas for the parks. So with that out of the way, I could start on my concept for Avengers Avenue.

I changed the backlot up a little, with a new service road route and a new backlot building. Along with that, parts of the employee parking lot would be used for the land. I didn’t worry about it though, because the lot is huge and Monsters Inc. is using parts of the employee lot.

We start near Echo Lake heading under it, we walk past by our first attraction, Deadpool: On Ice. An indoor ice skating show with impressive choreography, I thought that a skating show would match with Deadpool’s overall character and humor. We walk near a small counter service, Ben & Jerry’s Avengers Ice Cream Stand, serving the three Avengers flavors mentioned in Infinity War. I doubt that Ben & Jerry’s would enter a partnership with Disney over one-stand, but it would be pretty cool and would be more-accurate to the movie’s description. At the center of the land is Hero Packs. A floorless flying spinner, being a clone of the jetpack ride at Shanghai Disney. Being a refreshing version of the flying spinner type attraction, and being a much needed flat ride to the park. We pass Peter’s Pizza, a quick service restaurant based off of Spider-Man and a Broolyn style Pizzeria.

At the other side of Echo Lake is the Sanctum Sanctorum. Holding Dr. Strange’s Mystical Menagerie, a round theater show, with dual theaters like Alien Encounter. Strange would show off creatures and all sorts of mystical things until eventually things go wrong.
I know almost everyone doesn’t like the Spider-Man W.E.B. ride, but Spider-Man is the perfect superhero for the no-height requirement ride. So I offer Spider-Man: The Daily Scoop!, a more physical set version, that would be the park’s version of Buzz Lightyear. A C-Ticket shooting dark ride through physical sets, and interactive elements. Maybe even utilizing a second floor, to give the ride a sky high feel, not restricting Spider-Man to the ground.

We now head to where Star Tours currently is, and it’s replaced by the Stark Expo. A small expo hall featuring interactive stalls and animatronics. Maybe even featuring a small meet-and-greet, and the newest feats in technology. The small area would also feature Iron Man: Ultra Flight, taking up the bulk of the Star Tours building. The ride is a clone of the one found in Hong Kong, which is just a reskin of Star Tours. The only difference from the Hong Kong version is that it takes place mainly in New York, instead of Hong Kong.

As we head back, a small meet-and-greet space called Avengers Hero Meets would be offered, involving many different Avengers characters, along with some from the extended Marvel Universe. We pass by the New York museum, and it takes you through the relics of Asgard exhibit, the queue would reach the acquisitions room, where an Asgardian messanger appears, telling guests about the chaos happening at Asgard, and how Ragnarok has dawned upon them. Wrath of Ragnarok would use the koka arm system found at Forbidden Journey. Join Thor and Loki in their flight and fight for Asgard, with the koka arms getting close up and personal with the demons and underworld of Norse mythology. The ride would exit out of a “Relics of Asgard” store, selling shields, armor, and all sorts of those things. While exiting out of the ride, a table-service restaurant called Shawarma Palace would preside. Based off of the iconic Avengers shawarma scene, a restaurant based off of it feels right for Marvel land.

We continue and head to the Avengers Hero Training Hall, a multi-room experience with interactives. Small groups would walk through each room, playing an interactive game to test your physical and mental strength, to see if you have what it takes to be an Avenger. I would prefer if this attraction had smaller groups, more of just one party. Mostly because the rooms wouldn’t be able to have only like 8 people, and that it would just be more fun for everyone if it’s only a small group of people they know. I know that it would be unlikely for Disney to do so because of capacity, but maybe if they did a virtual line like what they used to do for Rise of the Resistance. We end off the land with the main attraction, inside the Avengers base. As you walk through the Avengers HQ, interactives would be placed around, as not to bore you too fast. As you get to the pre-show, Stark would be showing off his new Iron-Bots, a bionic super robot. They get a transmission telling them that a Multiverse tear has opened up near the base. Tony immediately rushes guests to escape vehicles, (just like the ones on Cosmic Rewind) and try to escape. While at the launch deck, a multiverse tear opens right in front of you, and your vehicles launch backwards into a vertical spike. Coming down, you enter the tear and transported into the Multiverse. This ride would be a lot like Gaurdians and would be a better version for people who don’t like Guardians at Epcot. Avengers: Multiverse Threat! would send you on a thrilling ride, across the multiverse, witnessing the Avengers trying to stop the madness. With screens on the ride, I could even see different Avengers characters and variants helping you on your journey, Giving the ride a slight re-rideability feel.
