Hi, last summer I was driving around the Windermere area and noticed that KB homes was building a new development called Avellino. I was wondering if anyone has any information on this community. Thank you.

That one doesn't ring any bells. They are building their Lake Burden development in Windermere right now. I looked at the townhomes there and wasn't completely impressed. There were some bad design features and they were a bit small.

do most people in florida live in the communities? i feel like thats all is aw were those specialized developments with gates
I live in a non-gated development. While there are many that are gated, there are also many that are not. It is very expensive for the gated developments to maintain their systems. It is even more expensive for those with live security at the gates. There are also some issues regarding the up keep of streets and the availability of police and fire departments to gated communities.
It sounds like it was the development at CR-535 and Overstreet. I've since talked to KB and they said that they released the project. Do you know who took it over?
The development is now called Preston Square. The builder is Centerline.
