Hey all,

We're heading to WDW for our Honeymoon 2008. We'll be there Sept 28th - Oct 7th. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could do? Is there anything special going on at this time? We are planning to go to the Not so Scary Halloween Party. Does anyone know when these tickets go on sale? Thank you all so much!

You definitely have to make reservations at the California Grill (atop the Contemporary Resort). You need to make them around the time that Wishes is going on at MK - that time of year, usually 8 or 9pm. Then you can walk out over the rooftop and watch the fireworks. It's also the only restaurant outside MK that they play the music to match the show.

Walking around the Boardwalk at night is pretty romantic - and you can stop by Jellyrolls for a few drinks and have a BLAST! (It's a dueling piano bar and it's tons of fun). Plus there's a beach and you can get some incredible ice cream sundaes over at Beaches and Cream (ask for the Kitchen Sink if you're really brave).

I could go on and on, but those are a couple of suggestions.

I second that. The calendar on disnyeyworld.com will tell you the times of wishes in time for you to make reservations (and make sure you make them exactly 180 days before your trip, just to be sure!)

Make sure you get the bride and groom ears aswell as any honeymoon badges they may have - you might get a few perks!

You can also register at disneyworld so people can put money towards your honeymoon. You can select meals and activities for people to contribute towards but all the money actually goes on to a big gift card for you to spend as you wish.

Carriage rides always seem popular but I don't know much about them. You can also get a 'romantic photo session' round the parks (something we will be doing on our honeymoon this April!). We will also be going on an IllumiNations cruse and perhaps doing some of the tours on offer (depending how we are looking for time). A walk on the Poly beach during wishes is always recommended too.

Honestly I could go on for hours!

We went on our honeymoon at WDW last year right around the time you're going (Sept 24-October 5th). It was so much fun and you'll have a blast!

I definitly agree with the above poster to make a reservation at the California Grill (it was one of the best meals we've ever had!) If you can, try to schedule your dinner later in the evening (close to 8:00pm) on one of the nights that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is going on. When the fireworks start, they dim the lights in the entire restaurant and everyone is able to go out on the balcony and watch them (they have the sound track playing too so you can hear everything!) It was such a neat experience!

We also went to Beaches and Cream as the above poster also mentioned. We tried the Kitchen Sink (I don't think we even consumed close to 1/4 of it, but it was fun none the less!!)

Another neat thing we did was rent one of the racers at the dock at the Polynesian Resort and went out on the lake. We got some great pictures of the MK, the resorts, monorail, etc. When you're done, take a walk around the Polynesian resort (it's beautiful!!) and be sure to get a Dole Whip:slurp:

If you can, you could also try to squeeze in a trip to the beach. We went to Clearwater beach for an afternoon, and it was so beautiful!!

Hope this helps! Also, be sure to grab the Mickey Mouse top hat and bridal ears at DTD when you arrive. We got all kinds of neat surprises like fast passes and free dessert at Calfornia Grill (that and it's just fun to walk around the park in them!) Congratulations and have a blast!!

I second this as well! If you can, be sure to set up a Disney Honeymoon Registry online (www.disneyhoneymoonregistry.com). It was such much fun to set up! All the funds are transfered to a gift card that you use to pay for things all throughout the resort.

One more thing, if you have the time available and are interested in doing it, try to set up a behind the scenes tour. We did the Seas Aqua Tour at EPCOT and were so fortunate because we were the only ones signed up that day, so it was like our own private tour! I don't know if have heard about it, but you get to learn about the Living Seas through this tour and you also get to swim in the tank in Seas with all the fish, stingrays, etc. One of the best experiences I have ever done!!!

Sorry for all the info, I just get really excited thinking about honeymooning at WDW. You'll have so much fun!!
