Audition for Broadway and touring versions of The Lion King
Disney Theatrical Productions will be on property Feb. 27-28 to audition candidates for child and adult roles in the Broadway and touring versions of the stage musical The Lion King.
Auditions for children ages 9-12 will take place on Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. Interested children must be able to sing, dance and act, and they must be 5 feet, 8 inches in height or shorter. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and they should come prepared to sing the last verse of "Just Can't Wait to be King."
Auditions for strong, dynamic adult singers will take place on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. Interested candidates must bring sheet music for a song that shows off their voices and range in 16 bars, which they'll sing with piano accompaniment; a recent photograph and a list of performance experience.
Auditions for female adult dancers with a modern dance background will take place on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. Auditions for male adult dancers will take place on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. Interested applicants also may be asked to sing, so they should bring sheet music for a song that shows off their voice and range, which they will sing with piano accompaniment. They also should bring a picture and resume stapled together.
Leaders may call back selected applicants for further auditions.
