Attractions closing permanently within the next year

Hello, are there any attractions that are set to close with in the next year? If not announced what ones do you think will?

One thing you can take to the bank...If Disney isn't even willing to tell anyone what they are planning to build, they surely are not going to tell anyone ahead of time, what they are closing. They best you get will be, shut down for refurbishment never to be seen again. :bawling:

I heard rumors on the news and rumors board earlier this year by WDW1974 that American Idol Experience is going to close 2 quarter of 2014. Rather or not that is still happening is unknown. There was also talk about Imagination Pavilion closing after the Holidays that was mentioned by WDW1974 earlier this year.

Martin has mentioned earlier this month at American Idol Experience and Indiana Jones Stunt Specular is on borrowed time. That meant Both attractions could be gone in 2014 for a Star Wars Expansion.

I seriously hope both don't go at DHS, surely they would have an impact on the lines for other attractions, I still really enjoy Indy as well, not so fussed about American Idol but I would be sad to see Indy go.

It would be sad for Indy to go. It still plays to capacity crowds after all these years should be saying something for the show. AIE I could not care less about. I never understood why it was done, but I guess someone must like it. AIE will be only 5 years old next year and I am quite shocked it lasted this long.

I would hope TDO would look to update Tomorrowland next now that Fantasyland is nearing completion and replace Stitch but I fear that MK will stay stagnant for another 15 years.

These are all the same rumors I've heard of course with no official statement to confirm them. I get AIE as I personally don't think it went nearly as well as even they hoped it would but Indy just sort of confuses me. I think it's a fantastic show and it's still completely packed every time we've gone (even during "off peak"). As for Imagination... that rumor just won't go away. I think it needs a huge overhaul but I also just don't think it's going to happen. Would love to be proved wrong on that one. Obviously Camp Minnie Mickey is official at this point but I think it's the only one.

Ha! This is true! You never see a press release saying "Disney closing..." except as related to a new attraction opening to take its place (and sometimes not even in that case). The attraction just gets put in a seasonal closure or refurbishment list, and then simply closes forever with no fanfare or notice except for what you might see on these message boards.

Indy and AIE have been speculated to close in mid 2014, but its just been rumored. Also heard a month or two back that LMA will be getting the boot sometime within the next year.

It is safe to say AK Parade isn't returning.
Actually the regular AK parade ends before than with the Holiday version being AK's final parade. Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade takes Mickey's Jammin' Jungle in November until the Holidays end.

Once the Holiday Parade is over, there is no more parades at AK. It looks like the future Night time show for AK is the replacement, but I have no idea if the Nighttime show starts in some point in 2014 or when Avatarland opens in 2017. I can't answer what will replace the Holiday parade for AK for the 2014 Holiday season either.
