Ive seen a feature on this resort in the Bahamas. Surely this is the level that Disney should be competing at, without the casino of course. The pools look excellent

The Atlantis is an awesome resort. It's a massive place with fantastic service, friendly people and fantastic amenties. The pools and the fish tanks (called the The Dig) are really cool. They have underwater walkways through the shark tank. There's an Aztec pyramid with waterslides. Plus and assortment of beaches.
Atlantis's theming is a cross between Coranado Springs and the CBR.

I was there for a few hours when the cruise ship I was on docked in Nassau. Definitely beautiful, great swimming areas, fish viewing just like the Living Seas. But I think I would run out of things to do there.
<---does not like extreme water sports unfortunately.
I was shopping in downtown Nassau on my trip and 2 or 3 people tried to rip me off. Scary experiences! "do you want your hair braided lady"- lol

Atlantis is awesome. The pools and slides rival Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. It is very expensive to stay and eat there. I'm lucky, my sister has a timeshare at Harborside Atlantis so I stay for free.
Downtown Nassau is a scary place. Watch your wallet or your pocketbook while walking around.

I have also been there. It is really nice. We went there on "The Big Red Boat" when it was still in operation. The only reason I wanted to go, was to go on the slide. Then what do ya know, they said I cant, so we took the tour. My parents went to the casino, while my brother, my cousin, and I went on the tour with my aunt. After being shown 2904893 chandeliers, we finally went outside. It's AMAZINGLY themed. Just animals everywhere, outside, inside, everywhere you look. The inside aquarium, I believe its called "The Dig"? was really nice aswell. When I went, they also had a musuem, where you can touch some of the animals. VERY nice place...
And as others said, be careful in nassau. The cab drivers are insane, the one we had was nice, but drove worse then all of my grandma's and aunt's combined. Nassau, with the exception of Paradise Island, is very dirty too. One thing I remember was a dead dog in the street, and people just walking over it, and it looked like it had been there for days
