Atlantis credits question

I just watched Atlantis on Disney Channel and towards the beginning of the end credits, a name totally popped out at me:

Joss Whedon

Is this the same Joss Whedon that created Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel?

This is going to bug me until I know.
