It seems AT&T is seeing the writing on the wall and that their efforts to replicate Comcast as a telecom-turned-media-giant aren't working out.
AT&T is considering selling DirecTV, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
AT&T shares were spiking after hours on the report the telecom giant may part ways with its DirecTV unit.
AT&T did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
