Can someone compare these two attractions? I know Astroblasters was built into the Circlevision theatre, so I am really intrigued by this. Especially since Omnimovers seem to take up quite a lot of space.

Okay,

Astroblasters is a "bumper car" type experience, they have the attraction at DisneyQuest here in Orlando and it is very popular. You blast "moon rocks" at each other and send the cars spinning. It is a very fun experience but cannot be compared to Space Ranger Spin. The Spin is a ride that you shoot the targets for points while the Astroblasters are just for fun. The Astroblaster is in no way an omnimover system.

Hope this helps!!

No help at all. I am not talking about the DQ version, I am talking about the Tokyo and Disneyland version. (both take up a circlevision theatre).

But from what I have heard and seen, they are not bumpercars but a shooting system like on WDWs. but I am not sure. I want to find an article and pictural references.

Oh, I thought you wanted a Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland comparison. I'm sorry.

I don't know anything about the Disneyland version that was announced for the 50th at the moment. I'm sorry. - The WeirdOne :D

I looked more into it and it looks like an exact clone of Walt Disney World's Space Ranger Spin. It just has different targets to shoot at but the ride is basically the same system.

Yeah, same omnimovers, but better ride. First of all, the guns are not mounted on the viecles, they are attatched by wires making it easier to shoot at targets. There are a few new scenes, neat special effects, and different looking targets.

Well that proves Buzz to be pretty small if it can fit into a circlevision theatre.

But I am not surprised because when Buzz was originally designed as the UFO show I heard it was supposed to fit inside the CoP building. I heard the top floor but I am unsure of that.

Buzz is NOT pretty small. It is pretty large, that circlevision building isn't exactly SMALL by any means.

Buzz was NOT designed as the UFO show inside the CoP building. No way. That's on the other side of the spectrum.

As for the Tokyo version, it features MANY circular rooms (A.K.A. - more space put to use) and a speed tunnel. The targets react if they are hit by you and there are MORE Audio Animatronics (Florida has 1 or 2, Tokyo has like 6) and the show scenes are mostly 3D sets and props. - The WeirdOne :D
