Artist Point fireworks?

Today I tried to cancel my Artist Point reservations and replace them with California Grill reservations expressly to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks while dining. There weren't any California Grill spots available, but the CM told me that fireworks were visible from Artist Point, too.

Does anyone know if this is really true? Having dined there last year, I thought all windows look out to Bay Lake in the exact opposite direction of the Magic Kingdom. Am I just confused? :veryconfu

You recall correctly that Artist Point is overlooking Silver Creek Falls and Bay Lake. It's not much of a walk to see them but you won't see much of anything while dining.

Sorry to tell you, but you won't see fireworks from there. Artist Point is one of our favorite places to eat, anywhere. The fact that it happens to be at WDW makes it that much better. Enjoy the atmosphere and food, see the fireworks from somewhere else. Have a great time.

I agree. Do not cancel Artist Point reservations. I think you would be missing out and should also catch the fireworks some other time at another location.

I doubt that you can see the fireworks from the resturant.
We did watch fireworks from the hot tub at WL one time though.
It is right outside of the resturant.

Narcoossee's has a good view of the MK fireworks. It is from the dock level.

Thanks for confirming what I thought to be true. I love Artist Point, and still planned on making a reservation for another night. I was just astonished by what the CM told me. When I asked, "Are you sure about that?" she said she was. It was a very strange conversation.

But never fear, I'm eating at Artist Point and California Grille. (And Jiko, too, which I heard is excellent.)
