With the 20% off discount I decided to go ahead and upgrade to a Cars Suite from a Little Mermaid room. I have never stayed at AoA and was wondering how the suites are? Is it going to be worth the money? I will LOVE having a second bathroom! But how is the kitchenette area? I assume there is a microwave and refrigerator? Please let me in on any info you know about the suites. Thanks!

I think if you're going to Disney with more people, the suites are definitely worth it. Although the kitchenette is small, it's what you could expect in most DVC Studio rooms, and the little extra kitchen space you do have in your room does come in handy. As a whole resort, you won't be disappointed in AoA. The resort has great atmosphere, great pools, rooms, and an awesome food court. If you have any questions involving the resort in general feel free to ask, I've stayed at that resort before and loved it! I hope you have a great time on your Disney trip!

It is so worth it. The Mermaid rooms are tiny. The beds are very short. It's hard to believe they are standard full sized beds. They are, however, very cute and sufficient if you spend most of your time at the parks or their amazing pools. The food court is good, but we walk across to the POP food court lots of days. It's a quick walk across the bridge. The fact they have two bathrooms is our main reason for staying in the suites so often.

We stayed at AoA in a Lion King suite on our Feb 2013 trip, and we are staying at AoA in a Nemo Suite for 5 nights of our Feb 2015 trip (the other 4 nites we are staying at CBR). AoA is great and the family suites are very nicely put together, hence the reason why we are staying there again for part of our next trip. The kitchenette comes in very handy and the separate "master" bedroom is great for taking those mid day naps. Have fun!

I am used to staying in deluxe resorts, but it is getting too expensive as our family gets bigger and the suites seem like they will fit our needs. Our main concern is the bus system. How did you all like it? Were the waits very long?

Thanks! Hope you don't mind me asking a question in your thread @HollyAD

No problem! I didn't think to ask about buses.

We were in Cars Suites last summer for two full weeks. We LOVED it. We had five in our suite. The girls had a room to themselves and we did too. our room over looked the Cozy Cone pool. The buses ran great, never had an issue. We had our own van but never had a need to use it. The bus was never shared with another resort and they ran quickly. My youngest wanted a shower curtain...priced it out in the gift shop...didn't get it. It is a cute shower curtain but for about $150 it better clean itself. lol

I should note that as you use items the mousekeepers keep them replenished. (plates, bowls, cups, plastic ware, coffee, sugar, etc., for the kitchen).

We stayed in a Finding Nemo suite the week before Easter this year. With 6 adults in the suite we never felt really crowded. 2 bathrooms was a life saver! The buses ran frequently and we rarely waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. The food court offered a good selection. Have a lovely time!
