Must be flying Jet Blue or Song???? Just a guess.
MCO is a large airport and the fun begins when you land. You'll have to take a "monorail" type train from your terminal to baggage claim. Gets you in an early mood for Disney. Don't worry you won't get lost the signs are everywhere for baggage claim, ground transportation or rental cars etc.. The hotel located in the main concourese is cool as well since you can see it as you walk towards baggage. You could always do a bit of shopping at the Disney Store if you wanted or buy your park tickets.
Open? Based on current weather reports it looks like it won't be an issue since the storm is due to hit Thursday or so and farther west than was originally anticiapted. The good news it won't be in Boston yet either as a rain event or anything should only be in Carolinas or so.
Average trip is 30 minutes or so. If driving make sure you have some cash depending on the route you go there are a few tolls.
Have a great trip. Is your mom patelaine1953? on this board as she sent me a private message. We are leaving on the 18th as well! Just curious if not boy it is a small world. Three of us leaving on the same day from Boston all on this board.
