Arriving March 23rd and nervous

All the talk about spring break crowds has my anxiety level up a bit about what we'll face 3/23 thru 3/28. This is our first trip in March but we have done the week between Christmas and New Year and also Thanksgiving week in the past. We survived those times pretty well I thought. I'm hoping that crowds will be managable due to us being on a somewhat early SB. Having a Sr. in high school limits the times that we can go, so it is what it is. What cha think?

I agree with @lilclerk ....if you did Christmas, you will be fine. Spring break for high school in the northeast is in April. Not sure about colleges and other areas in the country. It would seem that March is a great time to go....weather wise anyway. You can never know about crowds. I would just stay away from the MK on the weekend as the Florida residents go for day trips. We noticed that in September....very quiet during the week and then the weekend was like the middle of the summer....long long lines. Have a Magical Trip! :cat:

I was nervous at first to since we are going the week following Easter. But you can't really predict the crowds. Plus with the snow we are having a lot of schools are making up days during spring break, so the crowds might be lower due to that. Our school has to make them up but if they do spring break, we are not cancelling a trip for it! He can miss two days :) Don't stress, crowds or not crowds it will still be fun!! Plus the weather will be nice too.

We were there during that week last year (March 24ish) I think MK reached capacity for a bit around lunchtime one day, but other than Main Street the crowds were not too terrible. It is definitely manageable, especially if you have been there before (which you have) Take advantage of EMH and Fast Passes.

The only way to maximize rides and experiences is to take advantage of early entry if you are staying onsite and be at every park entrance when it opens. If you are going to sleep in and roll into the parks at 10 am then lower your expectations.

We usually go for our Spring Break, and will be there around the same time. Our last trip was in June, and the parks seemed much busier than end of March. And, if you have lived through Christmas week, March will seem comparatively like a breeze.

We always hit the most popular rides early, then eat/relax after lunch.

Canadian March Break is March 8-16th this year for most of us up here. I know our previous four trips were all during our March/Spring Break and it was CRAZY packed down there!

We'll be there with you. I know 2 counties in Alabama are on break...not sure about the rest of the state. We'll drive down on Saturday and Animal Kingdom Sunday will be our first park of the trip :) Can't wait!!
