Following in Disney's tradition of Jules Verne Ispired attractions i.e. " PLP's space Mountain", "20'000 leagues under the Sea" and "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" - I think that another Jules Story "around the World in 80 days" is such a well known story that it is prime for an attraction to be developed for it! also considering a Disney Film was released a couple of years ago on it (not well recieved admittedly).
But heres MY Idea for a Ride:- It would take ispiration from both around the world in 80 days, and another Jules Verne Book "50 days in a balloon" - it would be a suspended Dark Ride similar to Peter Pan's Flight - but instead you all sit in a hot air balloon basket - which Rotates throughout the ride (I also had the Idea that is could be like the Teacups and people could spin themselves).
Anyway:- Once in your Basket your taken up up and away over scenes of Paris by night, the egyptian Pyramids by sunset set, you could pass through misting machines which feel like clouds, you could be shot at by Fortress cannons etc to add to the excitement, and even pass through the high branches of a rain forest.
I accept It has elements of other existing attractions such as its a small world and Epcot World Showcase (travelling round the world), Peter Plans Flight, and toon town spin - but I think if its conceived well it could be a very magical and family Friendly attraction.
