I will be at WDW in May and my aunt, whose husband is a retired military and current air force had access to staying on site at 'The Shades of Green Resort'. It is a military discounted resort that is on site and is gorgeous! I recommend this Resort for any military or air force family...I'm sure it will be great for my family, and hopefully for yours as well!

Thanks,

Also, when you get there, stop by City Hall inside the Magic Kingdom to see if there is space open to be celebrated as veteran of the day to help lower the flag at the Magic Kingdom... A great oppurtunity for any American Serviceman/woman to be honored by the Magic Kingdom, they have one volunteer do it each day, and can schedule it as long as you are actually on vacation for a day during your vacation, if there availibility. A family member of mine did it and he was amazed

Sigh!

I'm a veteran, just of the wrong country's military!

[They don't ceremoniously lower a Canadian flag anywhere do they?]

Shades of Green is not just for Army or Air Force. Anyone with a DOD ID can stay there.

And it is located at WDW, not DL. :)
