We got to the Magic Kingdom today for EMH today only to find that Disney had changed the EMH for MK/AK for this weekend only sometime last week. WTH are they thinking????? They should not change the EMH hours after the 60 day FP+ mark. It is not like you can change your FOP or Mine Train FP if they change the EMH. Definitely Grumpy today!

That is odd. Normally they don't change them once posted. I see its updated on the calendar's here, I wonder if a mod could see when they changed.

If the schedule change has messed with your prebooked FP+ (e.g., you had a FP+ for FOP but now you can't use it, and FP+ for it are now all gone so you can't rebook it for another time either), I'd stop by Guest Services and ask nicely if they'd give you some "anytime" FP+ in exchange.

No, it’s just that with the rigidity created by FP+ your plans get etched in for AK and MK at the 60 day mark. We did not lose our FP+ and even if we had caught the change there would not have been a lot we could have done about it as we could not have moved our FOP or SDMT FP. We just lost the 2 EMH mornings and that is irritating. Fortunately the crowds are less than last week so we are doing ok.

Did they change the day of the EMH, or just the hours?
Changing the actual hours for busy periods is fairly common. For instance the Christmas week, when they move the MK times from 9am to 8am, with 7am EMH every day. And this can happen just days out, or even day of (for the evening).
Changing the actual days that a particular park has EMH, especially so close, is different, and I can see why you'd be annoyed.

They changed the EMH. Friday was MK and Sat AK
They changed the EMH parks for Fri/Sat. It was Fri MK and Sat AK. It changed to Fri AK and Sat MK, for this weekend only. Yeah, if it had been earlier in the trip or had gone the other way, I’d made a fuss with Guest Relations to get a few FP. If it had gone the other way we’d been in trouble as our touring plans have us hitting Peter Pan right at Park opening. Missing and getting in an hour late means a 60-70 min wait.
