I'm hoping someone can help... I'm really in a bind. I've been trying since Saturday to purchase a D23 membership. I spent hours trying to get it to go through. Finally I had a friend purchase it for me as a gift membership. Turns out the technical error on DisneyStore.com was preventing Canadians from registering.
So I have a membership number now! I'm good to go... or so I thought. Last night I got a call from Nick at DisneyStore.com who had talked to me about the problems I was having. He said... your account is not setup to get event tickets but I'll help correct that. The thing is he apparently didn't.
This morning I had a brainwave and thought Hmmm maybe I'll check out the ticket ordering process by going through to buy tickets for the Toby Tyler Film Event on the D23 website. Sure enough, I type in my membership number and last name and it still doesn't work! This means that unless something happens behind the scenes at the last minute I'm out of luck for event tickets.
SOOOOO..... I'm looking for someone who is willing to PM me with their D23 membership number and last name. Tickets go on sale today at 1pm EST / 10am PST. My plan is to purchase my tickets under someone else's account number and then work with my Nick at DisneyStore.com and D23 to straighten it out later. I'm certain that Disney will straighten it out for me after the fact. But if I don't get tickets at all, they'll just say "Sorry, nothing we can do now".
If you might be able to help me, please PM me with your membership number and last name and I'll try using that if mine doesn't work. I'm desperate here!
