Are there bike racks at WDW?

I live in Downtown Orlando & would love to ride my bike to WDW. I'm tempted to do it tomorrow but I'm wondering where I could park my bike.

I think there are bike racks in the employee parking at DHS, but I don't think I could get there by bike. Does anyone know if there are bike racks at Downtown Disney?

Nope, no bike racks at the parks or DD.

I know Fort Wilderness has bike racks, and there are bike racks in employee areas. It's a shame Disney doesn't provide more ways to get around by bike.

I think the main problem is that the main routes around property are major roads and limited-access highways where it'd be rather unsafe for a bike to be.

I cannot think of a more dangerous place to ride a bike through. Hundreds of cars manned by a bunch of pixie dust drunk tourist looking everywhere except where they are driving. No... not a good idea at all, in my opinion.

Disney property is not safe for biking, unfortunately. No sidewalks along the roads (except within specific resorts), and you absolutely should not ride a bike on any of the roads. Way too dangerous.

My thinking is to ride to Downtown Disney, park, and take Disney transportation from there.

TBH, I have ridden a bicycle around WDW once, and don't believe I will risk it again. Believe me, you don't want to risk some foreigner not paying attention and swerving off the road right into you.

There are bike racks around. There is one at Ticket and Transportation by the guest drop off. There is one at Hollywood studios by the cm side. There are several Cast members who bring bikes on the bus and ride around property. I am not sure on the other parks where the bike racks are located. I dont think most of the roads are safe to travel on however.

I've done the Disney Marathon a few times and there are paths between parks or around parks specifically for cast members that guests wouldn't have access to.

I would never ride a bike on World Drive. I was just hoping to get somewhere on property, lock my bike up, and take Disney buses from there.

Actually from what I've seen Disney is a pretty nice place to walk/bike... also there are bike racks, they're just out of the way since Disney considers them eyesores

I don't think Disney property is safe for bikes from any perspective. On one hand you have cars that will smack into bikes. And then you would have bikes that will smack into people.

...and to tick off all bikers at once.... bikes are super annoying for motorists. Last thing you want on vacation is dealing with bikers.

That forum wasn't helpful lol. I would think if you couln't find a bike rack, chaining your bike up at the parking lot would not be a problem. I mean a parking lot is already an eye sore. Has anyone checked out the new parking decks for bike racks yet?

No it is not a shame.... It would not be safe.... People on Bikes amaze me at times.
