Are Theme Park Simulators getting good enough?

I've been watching recent Planet Coaster videos lately and started to wonder if they're becoming good enough to be used as an early pre-visualization tool for actual theme park designers.

I'm talking like early brainstorming phases. I don't think Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 was really good enough, but the kind of things they're doing in Planet Coaster are quite impressive.

Thoughts?

As a follow up, I decided to ask a few Imagineers via Twitter and one of them replied that yes, they are able to get advanced enough for that purpose in certain situations which is awesome

Planet Coaster is pretty impressive -- I could see it used in the early stages or for certain attractions. Interior mock-ups probably need to be a bit more specific, but to get a general overview of exteriors or roller coaster tracks, it does a really good job

I mean that looks like the Haunted Mansion
