No one died on space mountain standing up. Someone died about 18 months ago by standing up on Splash Mountain, and people have lost fingers on Space Mountain.

I take it from putting hands up? I've noticed some pretty low bridges on Space Mtn.

Thats one thing that if true, Disney should change. Half of every rocket puts there hands up and if it is unsafe then they should change it (although this a risky buisness and if there was danger it was probably fixed).

 okay,
I havent been on Space Mountain in like, forever, so, can someone answer my question: Aren't there restraint bars on the rockets so that you couldnt stand up?

The Rumor that i heard:
An old man got on BTM, and stood up about half way through. He got knocked unconcious by a lowhanging covering. He woke up about a minute later, stood up again, and fell out onto the tracks, and was run over by a quick movin train up ahead.
:hurl:
*eew, i know, but...thats just what i heard...dont go on that alone... post some more stories!! They're interesting!*

in the early 80's before restraints when all you had was a canvas belt, someone stood up and got the chop. there are alot of urban legends out there and i'm not sure but after seeing the track with lights on...it is possible.
