Are the pools at All Stars open in December?

Lots of kids were swimming mostly during the day at the computer pool at Pop Century in December. One night, at least 6 kids were swimming, we had laundry in and figured we were going to check out the pool, we just got our feet in and got out pretty quick as the water didn't feel warm at all. It was about 50-60 degrees outside. Mornings you could see the steam coming off the pool.

Yes they are open and heated to around I want to say 80 degrees or something-don't quote me on the temperature. Some people who come from up north don't seem to mind the weather, for me it's way too cold!

we were at movies dec 23-29 and went for a swim one night a park and it was kinda warm. Just stand around a spout where the water comes out and your gravy.

Come on down to Florida! Plenty of people migrate here, just watch out for the hurricanes :)

I actually lived in Jacksonville for seven months, but hubby hated it and dragged me back to NH kicking and screaming. I wonder if I can convince him that it was just Jacksonville he hated and we need to move back there again? :animwink:

Anyway, to the original poster, I'd go swimming in a heated pool in 60 degree weather. However, from what I remember, it's a little bit of a walk to the pools, so you might get chilled walking from the pool back to the hotel.

well...it's been 25 below zero up here already this winter (air temp, not wind chill), so swimming in 45º weather would probably feel somewhat warm to us northerners.

I always get a chuckle out of going to FLA in the winter. Its 70 degrees out and all the Floridians are in a jacket and long pants, heres me in shorts, t shirt, and sandals.

It's all in what you are used to I guess.

60 outside with a heated pool sounds like perfect swimming weather to me! ;)
