Are dining venues as crowded when...

OK, so I have been dreaming of possible discounts coming out and trying to figure out which to hope for but have been basing that all on costs. BUT another detail just occurred to me... crowds!

Everyone talks a lot about how crowded dining venues are during free dining, but are they as crowded when it is kids stay, play and dine for free? How about (which I recently read was a pin code) adults stay, play and dine at kids prices? Anyone ever been during these promotions at about the same time of year (obviously on different years) to let me know? Thanks!

I have been during traditional free dining in the fall and it seriously was crowded. The rides were never more than 20 minute waits but we would wait 30 minutes to an hour for our dining reservation. I am just wondering if perhaps it is less crowded when it isn't called free dining...

And by the way, you can tell that I was writing the original post while I had a sick baby snuggled on me... ouch to my grammar!!!!

Thats weird to me. I always go during free dining and never had to wait more than 5 minutes for our reservations. I guess it might depend on the time of your reservation. We typically have reservations for 7

I have been during free dining and the only time I had to wait was on Thanksgiving day, and according to the hostess the only reason they were backed up was because the had two huge parties who had been there over two hours tying up multiple tables.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Really no matter when you go the Table service restaurants will be full and busy. So reservations are always strongly encouraged at the 180 day mark for those. We have had ressies as we always do and still waited over 30 minutes at Le Cellier NOT during a busy time of year or free dining. We always go at slower times to avoid the crowds and have nicer weather.
Now the quick service places if you are going at a slower time of year they are not bad at all free dinning or not. At really busy times of the year those can have long lines. :)
