I'm not sure if it counts as pyramid scheme, because well, it doesn't seem so schemey as no one is buying or selling anything.
Essentially, a "Conga Line" is for things like survey websites that also reward for refering new members. Often, someone who directly signs up through you gets you like $2. But, if someone else signs up under someone who signed up under you, you get $1! Woot! A dollar!
It sounds like nothing, but a few sites I found use the "Conga Line" to assure everyone gets money (and again, no one buys/pays for anything).
Example:
----
Merf:
Hey! I found a survey website that pays me if you sign up for surveys! Yay "LINK"
----
Not Merf:
Hey! I signed up on merf's link. Use mine next! LINK
----
Not Not Merf nor Merf:
Hey, I signed up under Not Merf, use me next! LINK
------
And down the lines.. there's free money! Yay! Merf gets $2 for the direct referal and then $1 for the indirect, and then if someone ele signs up under the last person, yet another $1.
The earlier in the Conga Line the richer you shall be, but everyone seems to win.
That aside - is this allowed here? We've got tons of members and if everyone plays fair we'd all have some more pocket change.
I don't want to break any rules or miff anyone, but it seems like a decent community game/thing to do.
