I did try to search for this information, but couldn't find it. Please forgive me if it is a repeat.

Are any of the EPCOT World Showcase Country Pavillions Disney Owned? My husband would like a Chelsea FC shirt from The Sportsman Shoppe in the United Kingdom. I wasn't sure if it was Disney owned? It isn't listed as specifically excluded on the Disney terms and conditions web site.

Thank you! :)

What do you mean? Disney does own them...But there used to be sponsorships that helped the Pavilions.

I don't think the Merch has anything to do with this...:o Sorry...

If you're talking about using a Birthday Fun Card to purchase items, then yes, there are restrictions on where it can be used. Some country pavilions in Epcot feature stores run by companies other than Disney. These include Morocco, Japan and China. The gift card is not valid at these locations.

It's also not valid at the Arribas Brother's glass shops throughout property or any of the Downtown Disney shops owned by other companies.

Using your card in the UK should be fine.

Thank you for the info. I thought I had mentioned for my husband's birthday. (brain dead - sorry) So, yes for the Birthday Fun Card. I knew about Japan and am familiar with some restaurants that aren't 'Disney owned' because they don't accept the Tables in Wonderland card.

Cool about the UK though - my husband will be thrilled! Thanks again! :)

You're welcome! Love got his card in February and I got mine in May so we've been through it twice. In May, they gave me a paper that detailed the locations that were not permitted. The CM at Will Call also made a specific point to mention China, Japan and Morocco to me as well. Free Disney spending money though is great - even with some limitations. So have fun! :D
