April Trip

Well hello everyone,
I've been to Disney World in April the year 2003 my son was a 1yr and my daugter was 3yrs but my daughter remembers my son doesn't so i decided to wait until he gets a little older and knows the charaters and he does now. So were coming to Disney World in April 2006, I should be there April 20, 2006 thru April 27, 2006 and I wanted to know:
1. The weather and what should we bring to wear
2. I have 2 small children ages 5 and 3 and two big sisters 15 and 17 and I wanted to know how can I accomodate all four (park wise)
3. The best resturant that kids will enjoy (3 and 5)
4. Is it worth going to Animal Kingdom, Sea World, and Cirque du Soleil
5. Does anyone know what time they do rocket launches at Nasa

Hi,
I am not sure about the weather that time of year.
At 15 and 17 I would let them wander the parks a bit on their own. ofcourse there has to be some family time, but if you trust them to be off by themselves for a while it will allow them to go at their own pace for a while.
Kids will love Chef Mickeys, my brothers 15 and 17 at the time we took them loved it too.
Animal Kingdom is a must!! Cirque is great but I am not sure I would take young kids to it, not where I would want to put my money.
Not sure about Sea World.
And here is a website for Kennedy Space Center. www.ksc.nasa.gov
That should have a schedule for lift-offs. I registered on that site and get
e-mails now and then letting me know what's going on there.

I am new here also. My husband and I are also going that same week in April (23rd - 28th). We are taking our 2 year old. It is my sons first trip. I have not been in 17 years and its been even longer for my husband. So we are very excited.
The weather around that time is usally in the high 70s/low 80s during the day and in the high 50s at night. We are bring shorts for during the day and packing warmups to slip on at night.
We are definitely going to AK because my son loves animals. I hear that the lion king show is a great one.
I agree that you should let the 15 and 17 year old roam a bit. a good thing to do is bring 2 way radios and that way you can be in contact with them all the time.

What saved our sanity room wise was that we had adjoining rooms at pop century so there was plenty of spread out room. As far as the parks we let the teenagers go off on their own to ride rides and see shows as long as they stayed at the same park we were in and checked in with us. The last day we even let them stay at the hotel so they could lounge at the pool and they just kept in touch by cell phone. The smaller ones just loved everything and Chef Mickey's if you can get reservations is definately a lot of fun and good food also - even my picky 5 year old found things she liked to eat. Animal kingdom was a lot of fun and mine thoroughly enjoyed it especially the boneyard playground part. Sea World was a lot of fun too but if they don't like to sit and watch shows that could be a problem. There is other stuff to do there and my daughter loved feeding and touching the dolphins. I'm not sure about the other things cause we haven't done those yet. Anyways, have a great trip.
