Applying for rehire with a bad record card

I was a cast member from September 2007 - April 2008. At the time I was going through tough times in my personal life and this made my attendance suffer. I decided to quit without notice (bad idea I know) before being terminated for this bad attendance. I have since interviewed 4 times in the last 3 years with my last one being a horrible experience. The Casting interviewer asked me why I left, before I explained I smiled and told her. She retorted with "Why would you smile about such a thing?" I told her I was remaining positive and I was honestly nervous. She then rushed through her last few questions and turned me down rather rudely.

I wondering if anyone here has pointers for going through this experience one last time before I give up. I greatly enjoy working at Disney. I worked for a third party company at the resorts for almost 5 years. I love the culture, the guests, cast, and everything that working for such a magical place can bring.

If anyone has suggestions, contacts, or just moral support I would appreciate it!
