on a disney pay there really isn't anything that is truely affordable unless you are willing to live with 6 other people. you also have to take into the fact that a lot of appartments in the World area are income controlled so the combined wages of all peple in the appartment can't be to great.

Ignore the above post. There are many places that are affordable, however most will require a roomate or two. My sister has an apartment 6 months out of the year with 3 other girls at Discovery Palms (formerly Alta), and her share is 450 a month, including all utilities. They each have their own bedroom and basic cable, as well as DSL.

On your own, in a decent area, the least expensive 1 bedroom you're likely to find will be 800 in the immediate vicinity, or 650 if you're willing to drive 15-25 minutes, but still be in a nice area. There are a few complexes out towards Davenport and Clermont that have studios around 500 if you REALLY want to be by yourself, but I recommend checking out Craig's List or the Portal if you have access, and find a roomate or two (certainly not six). Methinks someone is bitter that Orlando is not as cheap as their hometown. :lookaroun

Not if Mickey pays you a salary. If you're earning wages, a few roommates is realistic.
