Heres my problem I posted this earlier I think but after reading something about purchasing them s vouchers where I can trade them in when I get to Disney for the real passes so I don't waste months of non used ticket time. I have to renew by May 12 to get the discount price. But I don't want the date to start on the 12 because i won't be there till September?? I'm confused once again lol

They used to renew for a year starting whenever you redeemed the voucher. A few years ago they changed it and when you renew your renewal year starts at the expiry date of the old AP. So, if you want the discount, renew, if you want your AP to start in September, buy a new one then at the full non-renewal price. You'll have to do the math of which option works best for your long-range plans.

Just buy a new one in September, 4 months is a lot to waste for $50. Another way to look at it is that the AP renewal is about $456, a new AP is $500 or $42/months, but if you renew now and don't use the pass until Sept you are only using the pass for 8 months so its $57/month which is actually more. Our APs ran out last September and October. We haven't gone since then and but will be leaving for WDW tomorrow. I'll buy at least on AP when we get there, and then another in Sept when we go back. If there's a large gap between when you renew your pass and when you plan to go, I don't think it's worth it because you loose months of use.
