AP from the UK with FP+

Sorry if this question has already been asked I keep searching but can't find what I'm looking for.

I am looking at buying an annual pass, so I will receive a certificate number or voucher number.

Will I be able to link this with MDE to book fast passes in advance even though I am staying off site?

And is the voucher valid from when bought or when exchanged at a kiosk?

When I purchased my AP, it expired 1 year from the date I picked it up at the ticket window. This was pre-MDE so I don't know about linking it to MDE, even so...right now, being an AP does not automatically allow access to advance Fast Pass reservations.
