Last Friday my daughter and I took a spur of the moment trip to DAK as a reward for some good school work. We had slept in so didn't even walk into DAK until about 1245, as she was looking at the geese I pulled out my phone to check the wait at the Safari the one thing she really wanted to do that day besides see the animals. I suddenly realized I could FP+ off MDE app! Yay I know I don't check the happenings at Disney much between trips. So I let her quickly pick three things and it worked like a charm for us. We walked right on to It's tough to be a Bug, from there we had time to see some animals before our ride on the safari then we got to do the walking path after safari before heading over to see Nemo.
It all worked perfect for us and was a nice little surprise when we arrived at the park to be able to quickly book our rides without having to run all over the park getting FP tickets. My daughter even commented on how much nicer it was to use the app.
When we got home we customized our bands and they shipped out to us today.
We are going again on the 31st and she's already planned her three things in MK, it's really nice for us because she's not really big on rides she prefers to walk around and just experience Disney soaking it all up and hunting for hidden Mickey's. So only have three picks doesn't really hurt her style, she really even had a hard time picking three things to do in MK on the 31st. She choose to use one of her picks as the parade but it wasn't available that day.
Hope our future experiences are as good as the one this past Friday. Honestly I was dreading the FP+ but after Friday I can say it was just the unknown aspects of it that I was dreading.
