AP Discounts - Anything to know?

I'll be upgrading my ticket to an AP when I get to this parks this March - is there anything I should know about the Dining Discounts?

How exactly are the discounts applied? Do I need to show/give anything to receive the AP discount at participating restaurants?

Just getting my ducks in a row.

You will need to show your Passholder discount card and your ID in order to receive any dining or merchandise discounts.

Yes. Even though your AP should be tied to your Magic Band, they'll give you a card that you will then show at restaurants to receive your discount.
