AP and 2 yr olds

We're considering getting annual passes.

I have a 2 year old who will turn 3 in the middle of the time in which our APs will be valid.

No guarantees we would get APs again the following year.

What are my options? Perhaps it's as obvious/simple as:

1) Once the 2 yr old turns 3 pay for his admission tickets each time we go

2) Once the 2 yr old turns 3 pay for an AP for him and then ours would run out while his is still good... in which case we'd be tempted to renew ours... and then his... and then ours... etc forever

Are there other options?

Thanks -

If you know how many times you're likely to go after he turns 3, buy a no-expire for that number of visits or an AP if it makes fiscal sense.
