I'll be staying at AOA Jan 2017, please before I ask my question yes I know suites come with microwaves however they are a bit out of my price range and I'm traveling with another individual so I took them into consideration as well. I have slight food issues and was wondering if I can request a microwave from the resort? I read somewhere that resorts may try and accommodate guests. Or also is there somewhere I could rent a microwave from for the week for my room and then return it after renting?

There are microwaves available for guest use in the Landscape of Flavors food court at AoA.

I do not know of any place that will rent a microwave, but I have been told that what many needing a microwave in their room will do is simply buy one and leave it there after the trip as you can get one for under $40 at WalMart.

Yes I know they are available at the food courts however even though they clean them I'm particular about what's been cooked in said microwaves also I don't want to walk 10 min to do a potato at night.

I've requested and had a microwave at the Beach Club several times - not sure if there are different amenities available at the different resorts. Why don't you just call the hotel front desk and ask if they have microwaves to loan to guests for in their rooms?

I was going to buy wasn't sure if first come first serve basis? I am calling closer to date for room selection should I call then or wait once I'm there?

Maybe they would, but only if they find it. When you leave for the parks, just throw some of your clothes on top of it.
