AoA Booking Question

I am looking at the AoA Mermaid Rooms for 1/4/15 - 1/7/15. There is no availability.

After researching this extensively....it seems the offending date is 1/4. Do these rooms always fill fast?

Should I book 1/5-1/7 and book at another resort for the first night? What are the chances that my date will open up?

I don't really want to deal with resort transfers.

Also....if I book now and 1/4 opens up chances are I will have to transfer rooms, correct? They probably can't merge the reservation?

It is unlikely that rooms will open up as you are within the 45-day package cancellation window. The easiest thing for you to do would be to just book a stay at Pop. You can still walk around to AoA to see the decorations outside. I would only bother with the split booking if you are REALLY set on seeing that Little Mermaid decor when you go to sleep. Of course, 1/4 at Pop and then 1/5-7 at AoA wouldn't be a difficult transfer to make at all. You could just walk your bags over.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Yes very unlikely they will open up being those dates are popular AND you are only 1 month out. Pickings are a lot slimmer to book last minute trips at busy times. Good Luck and hope you have a wonderful trip! :)

Yes, those rooms fill up incredibly quick.

The chances of finding an opening is slim.

You can easily modify an existing room only reservation if that date opens up, but says at different resorts will always be broken up into separate reservations.

One other thing...if you are looking for availability under a promotion and having no luck, try looking at full price. The 1/4 date might be available at full price. If it is and you want it that bad you can book it separately from your 1/5-1/7 reservation. You will have to check back into the resort after the first day, and there is a possibility that you might have to change rooms, but they will do all they can to keep you in the same room.

Even if you do have to move, going from room to room at the same resort is much less hassle than switching resorts.
