Anyone used SuperShuttle from MCO to Disney Dolphin or Swan?

Has anyone recently used SuperShuttle from MCO to Disney Dolphin or Swan? I think they began service in Orlando about 1 year ago. I will be alone so taking a car service as my husband and I used to do is ridiculously expensive, and I don't need a grocery stop.

I have read some bad reviews of Mears shuttle so prefer to try the competition as they are basically the same price. Mousesavers.com also provides a link for a $2 off roundtrip discount.

I haven't used SuperShuttle in Orlando, but I can tell you I love that company -- I use them on every trip to San Francisco and New York City -- fast, efficient, no problems at all. Everything can be booked online at their website. Highly recommend this company.

I used them this past October to go from MCO to The Dolphin for a conference. It was very inexpensive, easy, and they were on time when they came to pick me up at the hotel to take me back to MCO. However, the whole process of getting from MCO to The Dolphin took a very long time. It was more than an hour and a half from the time I got in the van until the time I got out of the van and made about 6-7 stops on the way to The Dolphin.

Also, you will most likely be the last person dropped off when you arrive and the first person picked up when you are leaving. I wouldn't use them again unless it was for a conference or something work related, or if I was staying closer to the airport. Otherwise, I'd probably just pay the extra cash to get there quicker if I was going there for vacation.

Thanks, Thehowiet. I realize the process of getting to the hotel from MCO could take a while and have allowed for 90 minutes or more. They make it pretty clear that I'll have to wait until there are a few other people going to the resorts, and yes, I know I'll probably be the last one dropped off. But that's ok -- I'm getting in at mid-day and will still have time for about 5 hours in one of the parks after I check in and get the vacation started!

And then as long as they are on time for my return trip to the airport, all will be well.

P.S. The other options (private car) they would cost MORE than my roundtrip flight, and I just can't wrap my head around that. It made sense before when traveling with my husband, but not for me alone.

Like I said, they arrived right on time when they picked me up to take me back to MCO when I was leaving. When I booked online and it gave me the choice of times to get picked up, I picked the earlier time just to give myself a little cushion. I'm glad I did since they do make a lot of stops. Just something to think about when you make your reservations.

As long as you're fine with the additional stops en route to the hotel, then it sounds like SuperShuttle will work out fine. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of that just in case that was a problem for you. It sounds like you were already well versed in how they operate so it doesn't sound like that will be a problem. The cost savings is definitely significant, especially since you are by yoursel, and the additional discount makes it even nicer.

Enjoy your vacation!

OK, I am down to the last part of booking for our Universal Studios vacation this May (12-17). I have it narrowed down to Mears or Super Shuttle. Super Shuttle offers a discount if you use the code "saver" (Mouse-Savers). I read some online reviews of Mears, and the consensus seems to be to avoid them. The horror stories ran about 10 for each good review. I wonder if just unhappy folks posted reviews? I know that Mears provides the service for DME, and every time we've used that it has been great. I guess that it doesn't reflect service across their entire product line though.

Has anyone had experience with either of those two choices? At around $30 per person, round trip - they seem reasonable enough. We will be staying onsite at the Royal Pacific Hotel.

And yes, I realize that it probably won't be a bee-line shot to our hotel.

My son has used Mears van a couple times in the last year, it was cheap and he hasn't had issues when being picked up MCO. We did have one issue with the van forgetting us to go back to airport while staying at the HIlton, called Mears and they sent a TownCar for us immediately instead.

To report: I used SuperShuttle on my trip last week and they were great! Got picked up within 5 minutes of calling them after I arrived at MCO, took maybe 45 minutes to get to the Dolphin (I was the second of 4 stops). On-time pickup going back to MCO, made 3 stops after my pickup and arrived at MCO within 80 minutes of my pickup, though I had allowed for more than 90 to be safe. Drivers were friendly, professional and courteous, vans very clean and comfortable.

Saved $2 using Mousesavers discount so including tips each way my total cost was $40.
