Anyone used Sixt or Payless for a rental car?

hello everyone I am just obsessing over the details of my upcoming January trip, we are going to need to rent a car for at least the last few days of the trip when we go to Vero Beach. But the price of a 4 day rental is a few hundred dollars. This led me down the road of renting for the duration, so we can go grocery shopping etc...So I discovered these two lesser known car rental agencies which have much better prices than the ones I find doing a search through Costco Travel or a Travel search engine.

Of course when I find something that's a lot less expensive, I worry there is some kind of catch...So does anyone have any experience with either of these companies?

I am so dumb, I just did a search and found nothing on this subject. And now I see in the Ground Transportation thread tons on this subject. I didn't see it a few minutes ago when I was hunting for this. I think I should just go to bed. Someone with the power to move posts can feel free to move or delete this...

It's true that you will find inexpensive car rental service through local companies. You can find cheap deals at big brands as well but you need to do comparison with available price list and deals. I hope this will help you to find some reliable and affordable deals.

We did a big extended family trip afor 13 peoople and rented 5 cars from Payless. It was the worst car rental experience I have ever had. We had reserved midsize they tried to give us economy csize, then they tried to raise the rental rate. We spent over an hour getting our cars. I t was terrible, and their employees were horribly rude.

I agree...Payless was horrible! No car seats that were requested and the car broke down on the way to the hotel!
