1. The Point Resort Orlando
2. Holiday Inn Club at Orange Lake
3. Parc Soleil Hilton Grand Vacation
We are deciding between these 3.
we've stayed in the point resort orlando, that is if you are referring to the newly built one just off of international drive.
it's a nice place, 5/10 minute walk from international drive. lovely spacious rooms; we had a full on kitchen! not that we used it, but it had everything you would want in a kitchen; fridge, cooker, blender, toaster, microwave, pots, pans, cheese grater lol you name it! and it had a washer/dryer in our room. i think we may have been upgraded though because we were on our honeymoon.
still, nice and quiet. you couldn't hear any of the bustle from i-drive or your neighbours. pool is nice and big and theres a jacuzzi and gym. there's a bar too(quite expensive) but they do breakfast too.
there isn't an onsite shop though, which was a bit of a pain. not having a car meant we had to trek from the wallmart/wallgreens on i-drive which was annoying.
still, it's a lovely place and i'm sure with all the land around the area they will soon be adding more buildings and hopefully a little shop.
but be warned; it's so new some taxis don't even know it exists! and they have an awful shuttle service to the parks. ok, it's free, but there's one pickup at 8.30am, and that's it. the only pick up from the parks is at 10.00pm, and it only picks up from the magic kingdom. we ended up having to get a taxi back from the parks some times, because 8.30 am til 10pm every single day for 14 days is just a bit too much.
